Baby it's cold outside.

We have had a few weeks of freezing temps and snow.  So, we haven't been able to do much but stay in the house and try to stay warm.   The kids have had to have fun in new ways.  Boxes and baskets seem to be really fun.  D fell asleep while trying to build his fort.   Here is K looking fabulous.  She has started posing for pics, and it is not usually very good.  We still think she is as cute as they come. I have tried to stay sane with little projects.  I purged the basement storage room and kitchen and got rid of lots of stuff.  I've also done lots of scrap-booking.  Now I am only behind to last June.  I am so proud that I learned how to crochet recently.  I learned how to make little crochet flowers, great for little hats.  I have also been making Mariam original jewelry.  Lesa gave me an awesome new bead tote bag, so of course I had to make a few things.   I made this necklace out of a cool old button I found, some fun beads and pearls.  I think it turned out pretty cool...

Snow!!!

We got sooo much snow last night, I'd say over 12".  It was pretty tough to get D to school this morning.  D's teacher and I had to push one of the mom's out of the driveway because she was stuck.  We didn't have much luck until some big guys showed up to help.  Still, I think I will be sore tomorrow.   The dog is loving the snow.  When he went out this morning, he jumped off the last stair and almost disappeared.  He has had so much fun leaping and frolicking in the snow.   The kids have had a blast too.  K is having trouble walking in it, but it is still fun.  It makes me think that I should have bought the kids some snow clothes.
We have had a busy couple of weeks, I think the end is finally near.  We had lots of traveling with the holidays, and then this last weekend, we went up to Rexburg to see the new temple.  It was beautiful.  D was able to go in too, he did pretty well.   The next day we had a wedding.  Our good friends and neighbors, the Womacks, son was married.  K was the flower girl and agreed to go down the isle only if she got candy, once she reached the end, she threw off her flower crown, and her bouquet and took off.  What can you expect from a not quite 2 year old.
Well we are finally connected to the world wide web.   Now we can finally keep in touch with our family and friends.  We are having fun here in our little town, the family is all doing well.  D is having fun in pre-school and K is learning to be bigger everyday.  Our dog is as naughty as ever, and Kent and I are keeping busy keeping track of the kids.
