Easter Fun

We had lots of fun playing with Grams and Gramps during Easter break.  We haven't been up to their house since Christmas (yikes!), and it was so nice to see them again.    Bubby was pretty sure he could make a pretty egg too.  I love how hard he is working on coloring that egg.    Grams, D and cousin Ally dying easter eggs. Grams, cousin Mallory and K dying eggs. Cousins Kylie, Ally, baby Lily (behind the Dr. Pepper bottle) and Aunt Alane.  We had lots of fun coloring and dying eggs.  I forgot to get a pic of the finished product, but we had some really awesome eggs.    The kids looked great for Easter Sunday.  (Instructions found here here ) Unfortunately, it seems to be impossible to get a nice picture of 3 kids.  I made K's dress and the boys bow ties.  I think they looked fantastic.  While I was trying to get a pic of the kids, the sweet neighbor lady came over and took a family picture for us. ...

A Princess turns 5

Okay, so I've been a little slow on this post.  Okay I've been really slow.   It is hard for me to believe that my little girl is 5 already (like a few weeks ago).  She is such a spunky, girly little thing and we love her so very much.  She loves everything princess, pink, glittery, girly, and fancy.  She is quite the tiny princess.    I made her a quick little skirt and shirt for her birthday outfit from the remnants of a skirt I made for my niece. Her big birthday request was to ride a horse.  We happen to live around lots of horse lovers, so we asked a neighbor if she would take K out on a horse.  Our neighbor SERIOUSLY LOVES horses and jumped at the opportunity.  We were worried the weather wouldn't allow us a nice ride, but it stopped raining just long enough for our sweet little K to ride to her hearts desire.  Her actual birthday was pretty hectic with school stuff, meetings and Young Men's stuff.  We tried to cele...
