Bubby

While reading, "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" the kids came heard a nickname that seemed to fit baby H. Bubby. I don't know if it will stick, but it fits him for now.
Here is little bubby looking all dapper in his onesie tie shirt.

A few cute grins. I think we have more pictures of Bubby smiling than anyone else. It's not because he is such a smiling happy little guy, quite the opposite. So, when he seems happy and is grinning, we grab the camera. It isn't all bad though. He is doing much better. He is even starting to sleep on his own during the day. Hopefully the screaming fits will go away with time.

I love to see other kids wear the clothes my baby wore. I now know it is even more fun when the other kid is yours too. The picture on top is H wearing the same outfit as D 6 1/2 years earlier. They are definitely brothers.

One difference. D was about 3 weeks younger in the picture and was filling the shirt out to the limit. It was still a little big on H. D's head is also much bigger and rounder (still is).

Love my boys.

Keep singing until the end of the song

Since my last post we lost 2 more precious babies.  On September 30, 2016 we lost our beautiful baby girl Felicity at 5 months.  Almost a year later, we found out we were expecting agin.  Sadly on Dec.1, 2017 we lost our little boy, Elijah.  I need to write their stories, but the feelings and emotions are still very raw and difficult.  While I hope to share them someday, today is not that day. Today is December 21, just a few more days until Christmas.  I LOVE Christmas.  The lights, smells, delicious food, family and friends, and especially the music.  I love to sing Christmas songs and look forward to it every year.  But this year it was hard to sing the songs I love so much.  This year singing about the miraculous birth brought sadness and even anger.  I have struggled to feel the Christmas Spirit. Disneyland and California

Wow, what a fun adventure we had. It was a perfect vacation. Everything was fantastic, and we had a blast. Here is a quick little run down. (the pics are not in order, sorry). Here is the mandatory picture of the kids in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Just a cute picture of K up in a tree house on pirate island (formerly Tom Sawyer's island) One of the biggest highlights of the trip was D being chosen to participate in Jedi training camp. He was so excited he was actually shaking. It was AWESOME. He got to learn some Jedi moves from a Jedi master, and then he got to fight Darth Vader. It was really fun, he is still talking about it. Here we are on one of the Bug's Life rides in California Adventures. The highlight for K was seeing and talking to real princesses. She was nervous at first, but quickly warmed up. She was so cute and sweet, it almost made me cry (the 2 hr. wait in line cured me of any tears). She kept telling us how Belle had a dress "all the...

The joy of family pictures

Why is it so hard to get a good family picture.  I would be happy if everyone just looked at the camera.  Here are our latest pics. This was our best family picture.  As you will see, K did not want to cooperate.     Isn't that fun.  All the crying and the whining, and that was just Kent.   The kids and the dog took some cute pictures.   Kent and I did okay.  Together we were a mess.  By the way, this is the picture I ended up using to represent our family.  It seemed the most fitting.   Someday, (sigh) someday we will have a great family picture.
