I love the funny things kids say, and K is at that perfect age to say all kinds of funny things. Here are a few from the past week.
She has been really into the Holy Ghost this week, and honestly we don't know why. Anyway, she draws pictures of him all the time and "the Holy Ghost" is her answer to every question. The other day we asked her what the Holy Ghost does her reply, "He makes me safe and warm, he makes me happy, and sometimes he eats my food" I know the Holy Ghost has lots of jobs, but I never knew he finished dinner for people.
We decorated for Christmas the other night, and K was totally into it. She loved decorating the tree, and helping set up the nativities. My favorite is a beautiful set made by Fontanini. It is a hand painted and antiqued plastic set (best of both worlds, beautiful and childproof). As she unpacked baby Jesus and the manger, she was really excited. She took baby Jesus out, cradled him in her hands, and sweetly sang to him. Then she turned him over and gasped. "OH NO! Mommy baby Jesus has poops on his butts" (he had a bit too much antique glaze on his back side.)
When we told her that we celebrated Christmas for Jesus' birthday she got really excited. She was jumping around me and said, "We need a cake, we need to make a cake for Jesus, and we need ALL the candles." When I asked her who would blow them out she looked at me with her nose all wrinkled up and said, "Jesus" In a duh mom what are you thinking voice.
She is so much fun.
