A few of the going ons

Here are a few of the things going on in our home.

I have been trying to learn how to sew a little better. K is totally into wearing nightgowns, so I thought I would try to make one. After 3 tries and pattern modifications, I finally had a success. I made it out of an old sheet, so no real loss.

K got a real haircut. Grandma cut her hair into a little bob, and gave her some bangs. I think it is pretty cute. She was so good for her hair cut.

For those of you wondering, here is my pharmacy jewelry.

These are earings for... well a "good time".

These are my Excedrin earrings. I think they are pretty fun.

And my favorite, the "having a bad day" pendent.

I think they turned out pretty cute. I made Amanda a charm bracelet out of pills that turned out really fun..

Everything is made out of polymer clay. It is safe in the rain, and not actually made out of pills (as a few worried pharmacists thought).

Your mom told me about your pill jewelry the other day at church (when she noticed my MBlack originals I was wearing) I thought they were a cute idea! I think I’m going to give my mom the ‘Having a bad day’ pendent for her B-Day. How much??

Keep singing until the end of the song

Since my last post we lost 2 more precious babies. On September 30, 2016 we lost our beautiful baby girl Felicity at 5 months. Almost a year later, we found out we were expecting agin. Sadly on Dec.1, 2017 we lost our little boy, Elijah. I need to write their stories, but the feelings and emotions are still very raw and difficult. While I hope to share them someday, today is not that day. Today is December 21, just a few more days until Christmas. I LOVE Christmas. The lights, smells, delicious food, family and friends, and especially the music. I love to sing Christmas songs and look forward to it every year. But this year it was hard to sing the songs I love so much. This year singing about the miraculous birth brought sadness and even anger. I have struggled to feel the Christmas Spirit. Disneyland and California

Wow, what a fun adventure we had. It was a perfect vacation. Everything was fantastic, and we had a blast. Here is a quick little run down. (the pics are not in order, sorry). Here is the mandatory picture of the kids in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Just a cute picture of K up in a tree house on pirate island (formerly Tom Sawyer's island) One of the biggest highlights of the trip was D being chosen to participate in Jedi training camp. He was so excited he was actually shaking. It was AWESOME. He got to learn some Jedi moves from a Jedi master, and then he got to fight Darth Vader. It was really fun, he is still talking about it. Here we are on one of the Bug's Life rides in California Adventures. The highlight for K was seeing and talking to real princesses. She was nervous at first, but quickly warmed up. She was so cute and sweet, it almost made me cry (the 2 hr. wait in line cured me of any tears). She kept telling us how Belle had a dress "all the...

The joy of family pictures

Why is it so hard to get a good family picture. I would be happy if everyone just looked at the camera. Here are our latest pics. This was our best family picture. As you will see, K did not want to cooperate. Isn't that fun. All the crying and the whining, and that was just Kent. The kids and the dog took some cute pictures. Kent and I did okay. Together we were a mess. By the way, this is the picture I ended up using to represent our family. It seemed the most fitting. Someday, (sigh) someday we will have a great family picture.
